Primarily, this university was known as Ishik University. This university is distinguished for its Excellence Administration System. TIU is a member of the Union of Arabic Universities. At this university, students can discover their obsessions, determine their talents, and extend their skills.

This university has the European Credit Transfer System which is also identified as ECTS to evaluate the accomplishment of learning results. At TIU, the educational year is separated into 2 terms that are fall and spring. Further, this university offers summer schools that permit students to study several courses.

Also, this university is a member of the Global Engineering Deans Council. Research Center & Engineering Consultation Bureau was founded at this university in the year 2014-2015.

Human Resources:

At this university, Human, Financial, Physical, and Technological resources are used efficiently to achieve its Mission, Objectives, and Goals and to ensure good quality in all the procedures at the University. Academic Staff at TIU are fiscally supported to be active in the Research Fields.

Physical Resources:

This university maintains sufficient physical resources to support the mission of the institution and the range of its programs and services. TIU exercises proper control of its physical resources and organizes the Planning, Development, and use of its physical facilities to support the mission of this university and its planned goals.

The physical resources and infrastructure at this university are moderately new. In 2010, its first everlasting building was done. After that, the following new constructions have been completed

In 2011-2012, the Expansion of the Main Building
In 2014-2015, Education Faculty Building
In 2016-2017, the Special Building for the Research Center
In 2017-2018, 3^rd floor in the Education Faculty Building

Financial Resources:

At this university, the income to fulfill the budget is comprised of:

Tuition Fees
Several Operational Revenues such as the fees of the courses delivered by the Continuous Education Center of this university and very little income come from the Dentistry Hospital

There is no support from the government and no revenues from the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research. This university manages its research activities by self finances and by the yearly Research Provisions administered by the Financial Committee.

The Research Provisions are firmed to manage the expenses of payment for Research Staff, Modernizing Library Stock, and Purchasing Data Processing Software, and cover the expenses of traveling and others.

Library at Tishk International University

There is a Central Library at this university which is to be found in the main building of the university and was created between 2010 and 2011. TIU is in a space of approximately 300 square meters. This Library is managed by the Director of the Library who is an assistant to the Vice President for Organizational and Fiscal Affairs.

The financial statement of this library is almost 50,000 $ per year. Academic Departments prepare the Lists of Text Books at the start of every academic year which is required for courses and they submit these lists to the Director of the Library to purchase the compulsory books.
