History of the Webster University Geneva

This university was founded in 1987 and from 1978 to 1983; it was in the John Knox Center in Grand-Saconnex.  Webster University Geneva was shifted to its original site in 1983 which included a large house at that time. This university comprises a land area of almost 24,000 square meters.

In 1986, this university leased the Bellevue Campus property for 3 years before getting purchasing authorization from the Swiss Government. This campus started the construction of two 3-floor buildings 225 square meters each.

Nowadays, the buildings hold the main Classrooms, Library, Cafeteria, Academic Offices, and a Recording Studio as well as Computer, Media, and Photography Labs. This university added another building for freshman campus housing which has extra classrooms and student services offices as well as a student lounge.

Also, this university rented a residence for student housing since 2009. This residence is in the center of Geneva along the Rhone River.
